VA Finalizes Regulations on August 31, 2010 and adds Three New Illnesses To Presumptive Service Connection to Aid Veterans Exposed To Agent Orange.
Veterans should file their claim immediately with The Department of Veterans Affairs. Widows whose Spouse died of these illnesses may be eligible for DIC and should contact the VA or a Service Officer.
The Illnesses Are:, B cell leukemias, such as hair cell leukemia, Parkinson’s disease, Ischemic heart disease. The regulations are not finalized but you should file your claim with the VA now if you have been diagnosed with any of these illnesses to preserve your date of claim.
The other presumptive diseases are:, AL Amyloidosis, Acute and Subacute Transient Peripheral Neuropathy, Chloracne, Diabetes Mellitus (Type 2), Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, Porphyria Cutanea Taeda, Prostate Cancer, Respiratory Cancers (cancer of the lung, bronchus, larynx, or trachea)
Soft Tissue Sarcoma (other than Osteosarcoma, Chondrosarcoma, Kaposi’s sarcoma. Or mesothelioma)
