Dear Chapter Commanders and fellow Patriots,

Welcome to our web site, NMPurpleheart.org. The Department is very excited about having the opportunity to communicate with each of you on a timely and frequent basis for the good of the Order.

We believe you will find our site very user friendly and intuitive to use.

You can now view your Chapter calendar and Department calendar simply by clicking on the Department calendar Tab.-The Blog is used to communicate and share ideas with your Department and Chapter officers and fellow Patriots, be sure and check this frequently. The OIF/OEF S.O.P Guide and Hold Harmless Agreement is to be used for the Mentoring program. Access to this part of the web site is password protected in the member’s only section.

Now for some news we can use:

• The State has issued a new Purple Heart License Plate. You may keep your old one or apply for the new one. All new first time applicants will get the new one or they may order the old one
• The Department MOPH Fishing Tournament was held on National MOPH Day, which was Saturday August 7, 2010 at the MOPH Lake in Blanco, NM. Commander Shrum and is wife Shirlie hosted a great event. We fished and everyone caught several Trout from MOPH Lake. The largest was 21 inches and was caught by Ken Williams. A great meal was served after the tournament and prepared by Shirlie Shrum
• We have instituted a mentoring program for returning OIF/OEF Warriors. Check out the OIF/OEF Tab on our Web Site for details.
• The Fallen Warriors Golf Tournament, the Department’s Third annual major fund- raiser was conducted August 27, 2010 as MOPH continues the support of this worthy cause. Please click on the Fallen Warrior Tab for further details.
