The Region V Conference will be held October 8th and 9th in Austin Texas. All Commanders and Patriots are encouraged to attend. POI is Commander Comstock at 505-270-4689.

We will man a table the week end of September 17th and 18th, which will be staffed by Chapter 176 (Rio Rancho) from 1000 to 1600 hours both days. Volunteers needed. POI is Commander Marty Cantu at 505-980-2877.We will man a table the week end of September 24th and 25th, which will be staffed by Chapters 1966 and 2484 from 1000 to 1600 hours both days. We will have a float again this year in the parade on September 11th. Meet at Veterans Memorial Park at 0700 hours to decorate the float. Bring a lawn chair to sit in on the float. The Department will furnish the food for a picnic to be held after the parade. POI is Roger Newall  at 505-610-1533.

Tony had a stroke and is in the Princeton Nursing home at On  Louisiana  between Lomas and Central in Albuquerque, Room 608 B. He would appreciate your prayers and a visit.

I can’t believe this was year number three for our golf tournament. We had 40 players and several new hole sponsors as well as numerous gifts for prizes. The team from Daniel’s Funeral Home took first place. We raised about $5000 dollars to support this worthy charity. Thanks to all of our volunteers and Isleta Eagle Golf Course for a fine job.

Chapter 1966 will meet in the conference room of Pella Windows Corp. January 3, 2009. Breakfast @ 9am business meeting @ 9:30am.

Attached are pictures of Commander Comstock and Jr. Vice Commander Tafoya presenting plaques from The Department of New Mexico to the families and co-workers of these fallen Police, State Police, and Border Patrol Officers. The ceremonies were conducted October 30th in Alamogordo New Mexico.
