Rio Rancho Chapter 176 is soliciting donations for their garage sale to be held September 26,27, at 1020 Veranda Road, Rio Rancho. What ever you have, large or small. Commander Cantu is asking all Patriots and their friends to donate. Call Marty at 505-980-2877 or 505-896-5599 if you need to have items picked up, or drop them off at 1020 Veranda Road, Rio Rancho. The purpose of the garage sale is to help those Combat Wounded Patriots in need. Lets all help Chapter 176 with this worthy cause.

I interviewed Commander Comstock in Las Vegas at the MOPH Convention in August and am contacting the membership to let you know AV Books and The Reading First Foundation have started a fund-raising drive for the “Purple Heart Heroes” book’s production. Any email lists or other contact information you could provide us for persons who might like an opportunity to contribute to the project would be appreciated. Attached are pictures of Commander Comstock and Jr. Vice Commander Tafoya presenting plaques from The Department of New Mexico to the families and co-workers of these fallen Police, State Police, and Border Patrol Officers. The ceremonies were conducted October 30th in Alamogordo New Mexico.
To all Chapter Commanders: Please check with your Bank (if you do not already know) and make sure you haved a Tax identification number. You must have one to maintain your Tax Exempt Status. Form 990 easy filed on line must be submitted to IRS NLT October 15th, 2008. Contact either Roger Newall, Department Adjutant or Mike Lux, Department Finance Officer if you need help with these.
